Privacy Policy

How ProtectYours collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our site and quote intake process.

Effective Date: Janurary 2026

ProtectYours ("ProtectYours," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information when you visit protectyours.life (the "Site") or use our quote intake process (the "Service").

By using the Site or the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or Service.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide to us directly, including:

  • Name (first and last)
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Mailing ZIP code and state of residence
  • Coverage goals and preferences you select during the quote intake process (e.g., protecting loved ones, final expense coverage, mortgage/asset protection)
  • Any other information you choose to provide when contacting us

Information collected automatically, including IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, pages viewed, time on site, referring/exit pages, and cookies or similar tracking technologies (see Section 5).

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Match you with a licensed insurance agent or carrier appropriate to your state and coverage goals
  • Verify your phone number via one-time passcode (OTP) to confirm you are a real applicant and protect against fraudulent submissions
  • Contact you by phone, text message (SMS), and/or email regarding your quote request, follow-up questions, and coverage options
  • Improve our Site, marketing, and quote intake process
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions

3. How We Share Your Information

We may share your information with:

  • Licensed insurance agents and carriers who can provide you with coverage options based on your state, ZIP code, and stated goals — this is the core purpose of our Service, as we are a lead generation and matching platform, not an insurance carrier.
  • Service providers who help us operate the Site and Service (e.g., phone/OTP verification, SMS/text messaging, hosting, and analytics providers), bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal and safety purposes, if required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of ProtectYours, our users, or others.
  • Business transfers, if ProtectYours is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information to unrelated third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.

4. SMS/Text Messaging Consent

If you provide your phone number and affirmatively opt in via the checkbox on our intake form, you consent to receive text messages from ProtectYours related to your quote request, appointment scheduling, and follow-up communications about your coverage options. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any insurance product. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP, and reply HELP for assistance. See our Terms & Conditions for full SMS program details.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features of the Site may not function properly without them.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children's Privacy

Our Site and Service are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn we have collected information from a child under 18, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Choices

  • Email opt-out: Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Access/correction: Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.
